Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant?

Why do people like Robert Plant's singing so much? And why do people like him better than Freddie Mercury? I mean, I love some of Led Zep's songs, but Robert Plant's singing is horrendous. All he does is scream and yell, and mostly with a hoarse voice. People say he sings better than Freddie Mercury, while Freddie Mercury can hit extremely high notes with perfect and clean precision, while Plant has to scream or yell to get notes out. I just don't see how somebody with a near perfect voice and range, can said to be better than somebody as horrible as Robert Plant. I mean how is butchering notes and hurting hears better than awesome singing? Can someone share their views on this.

Don't get me wrong, I love Led Zeppelin and Queen. But I think Freddie Mercury is by far better at singing.

I don't think it's about how technically precise you can get. Good music is about how much emotion you put into it. Btw, I'm a fan of both plant and freddie mercury.

Freddie Mercury.

The rare man who can hit the high notes without it sounding like a creepy children's show falsetto or a scream from a horror flick.

He's the reason you don't see Queen cover bands. Without a talent like him, any attempt would seem like karaoke.

That's just your opinion. If Freddie Mercury was singing in my bathroom, I would have shut the door on him. I thought HE was terrible, like fingernails on a chalkboard. That is my opinion.
