Freaky Friday

Anyone seen this Disney film? I know its kind of a kiddie film, but me and my family enjoyed watching it. And one thing i did like was the music in the film, seen as the girl in the film was in a rock band (much better than shitty pop banRAB IMO) alot of the music in the film was rock-ish music.

Has anyone else seen it?

I've not seen it, but I love those very 80-type movies where people change bodies.

I'd love to swap bodies with Jordan for a day.

This originally came out back in 1976 with Jodie Foster playing Anabel. They seem to have changed the surnames of the characters and updated it. I think it was on ITV over christmas, with the advert for the new one at the cinema half way through.

I reemmber the previous version very well - Jodie Foster if I am not mistaken and when i was a child i remember reading the novel. So I'd quite like to see how they have updated it really - I know it wont be a blockbusting work of art - but I hope to have a fun hour or two with it.

I went to see this on Friday night with my girl friend, i thought it would be a fun film.
I wasn't disappointed, it is no masterpiece by any means, but it is a film that encapsulates the family spirit. I certainly left the cinema feeling better about myself. Jamie Lee Curtis puts in a good performance as the mother of a ungrateful but misunderstood daughter.
LinRABay Lohen plays the daughter is assured in her role as a drama queen.
I think Jamie Lee Curtis enjoys letting herself loose as the teenage tearaway. This comes through in the film. I am sure most people who go and see this will enjoy it :)

I haven't seen the earlier film, but i remember seeing Vice-versa which explores similar themes. I think Freaky Friday has a better script which makes it more enjoyable.

lol - I saw the original in the holidays :o - Jodie Foster is basically a little boy back then :p
They have totally updated it now, it is totally polished and has that hollywood gleam to it.
Both are good fun :)

There was another version made about 7/8 years ago. I can't remember who was in it but the character's names were different again.

I loved the new remake though.

Just saw this.
It was mush better than expected. The original with Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris is one of mye all-time favourite movies, and of course it doesnt come close to this, but it was still good.

They made it more modern, unlike the 95 version which just contained new actors I think.
