Frank Ross is out!

When I heard at the latest Bafta's that Tom Bell had passed away, I remembered this series and how much I had liked it.

I ordered it on dvd and it has now arrived. I hope I'll be able to watch it, as it has no subtitles (and as a foreigner I sometimes struggle to hear things in slang).

Does anyone else remember it?

Yes I remember it well.
Brilliant series and performances.
Catchphrase dialogue much quoted by my mates and I at the time.
"Have you heard?"
"What?"
"Frank Ross is out"
Brian Cox is particularly nasty as a villain who says "Shut it slag" quite a lot, if I remember it correctly.
Gonna order this -where did you buy it Socha.

That does not ring a bell. I tried to look for it on the dvd and on imdb, but nothing there as well...

You might be confusing Out with Fox, starring Peter Vaughn with Larry Lamb as his son.

Both titles ring bells with me so I'm sure I saw and enjoyed both.

I sometimes get mixed up with Brian Croucher who appears in Out and Larry Lamb.
Croucher was in Eastenders for quite a while, and whilst he and Lamb are slightly similar in appearence , they are very similar in the kind of characters they play.
They seem to play a lot of Cockney wideboys and criminals between the two of them.
