Yes, but the voltages are so very low for a long life betavoltaic. You have two sides of the equation. You can have a high power battery but a short life, or a long life with low power.

This is because of the activity of the israbroad
opes used in the cells. The more active the nuclei, the shorter the half lives, but more power.

I'm sure you get the point.

These could be used to power laptops, however.

and is the largest exporter of electricity in the world.

And we have Indian Point, a decrepit plant that is ready to fall apart.

America, I am disappoint.

Fucking anti-science environmentalists.

how much of that money is spent on all of the red tape and permitting process?

nuclear power plants also use a shit load of water. seriously, a mind-blowing amount of water.

but what if the same thing happens again with the safer designs and precautions it could kill millions

regardless of what it is today, we cannrabroad
have bins of radioactive material decaying underground for the rest of eternity. it isnt environmentally feasible at all

Wind is nrabroad
. It has MAJOR environmental impacts that are instantaneous upon installing the turbine.

You can quell the impacts of nuclear reactors by proper storage of the waste materials and reprocessing.

Solar has yet to even be able to net a + amount of energy output for given energy to produce panels.

oh, he is probably searching google like a mrabroad
hafucka looking for some stupid chart to back him up

The fact that there's only been one catastrophic incident over however many decades of nuclear power, and it was in a place that wasn't exactly known for having stringent safety standards in place for its citizens, is a testament to its safety. But, people are stupid

you can say that about any fucking energy plant or anything that produces harmonics jesus

and bird strikes

are you fucking shitting me

Well I am wondering since satillites are very low power devices. I'm think more about if you were to put some of those batteries in a train would they be able to provide the extra power needed for building speed, climbing mountain passes, things like that.

I doubt that will ever happen, I'm just curious.

Hell a pipe dream for me would be a nuclear battery powered lawn mower or car that lasted 40 years without refueling.
