I saw that on Sky Movies about two weeks ago and I found it to be one of the most shocking movies I have ever seen in my life. Throughout the whole of the film I had a sense of dred and the storyline was amazing and very unique. The twist at the end was just brilliant. Who else has seen it and if so what did you think of it?

Quick plot outline:
Fenton Meeks (Matthew McConaughey), comes forth to tell the FBI that his brother Adam may be the serial killer who calls himself God's HanRAB, who the FBI has been searching for. The film uses flashbacks to show Meeks' childhood with a father (Bill Paxton) who believed he was on a mission from God to destroy demons that inhabit human bodies. Fenton saw his dad as evil, while Adam saw him as a hero.

It was definatly Matthews best film to date by quite a long way and actually showed what a good actor he is. As for Bill Paxton, amazing is the only word I can use.
 
I watched it on Sky Movies, too, about two months ago.
I thought it was absolutely brilliant and Bill Paxton was on top form as usual.
You're right about the twist at the end - I so did not see that one coming!
I want to watch it again, even though it won't have the same effect at the end. :)
 
I love that film! It really does mess with your expectations - of where to draw the line, who is really who, the purpose of something and the story itself. The child actor who plays the elder is amazing.

This is going to be one of those films that will last a long time. Definitely a member of the Hall of Underrated Gems, along with FREAKS, SHOCK CORRIDOR, THE LONG GOODNIGHT KISS [even though I can't stand Geena Davis], STREETS OF FIRE, THE LAST DETAIL, THE OUTFIT, ONE FALSE MOVE, etc.

It's Bill Paxton's debut directorial feature film, too. I think Bill Paxton will go a long way, especially when you consider his filmography, which includes a selection from the Hall of Underrated Gems, funny enough. :) I'm slowly becoming one of his fans.
 
I have seen it twice at least, possibly three times and each time it still scares the hell out of me lol. The twist also seems to be new eachtime and it is very disturbing.
