There will always be early releases around of just about any movie.

Probably not DVD quality...but on the net for sure.

So the answer to your question is YES, there's always going to be copies around even before they hit the cinema.

You'd have to be pretty naive to deny this fact. :)
 
i saw it on sunday - its great and ryan gosling is totally gorgeous in it. Just when you think its over theres a big twist. well worth seeing.
 
Went to see it last night. Not a bad film, Sir Anthony Hopkins is pretty good in it, a Lecter lite sort of role for him but still a little bit creepy. You could see the twist from a mile off at the end.
 
I thought this was OK. Ryan Goslings character was totally dislikable and I was rooting for Hopkins who at least seemed a bit more of a character. The stuff with Rosamond Pike seemed unnecessary and slowed everything down. Also the ending seemed too simple and Gosling's character didn't really need to use his brain much relying on a fluke (or two) instead. I didn't guess the ending as I thought it'd be more complex than that.

Nonetheless it was quite intriguing, probably a better dvd rental though. Not sure it'll hold up to repeat viewings either.
 
I saw it last night, really enjoyed it. Anthony Hopkins was on top form (as always!), and despite what the above poster said i thought Ryan Gosling was also great. the scenes where they are on screen together are probably the best parts of the film.

I'd definitely recommend it for people who like Psychological/Courtroom thrillers.
 
Saw it this afternoon. Good beginning and middle but the end was poor. The remark by Goslings old boss gave the show away far too soon. And poor Roz Pike was wasted - no need for her character at all.
 
I enjoyed this film. Saw it last week. I was in the mood for something suspenseful-ish..

Anthony Hopkins is always great and this was no exception, BUT, there were moments when I was expecting him to call Ryan's character "Clarise" and lick his lips and ask for a bottle of chianti with fava beans..
 
I liked the movie as am a fan of both Hopkins and Gosling but it was very easy to figure out what course the plot was going to take and how it was going to finish up. I'm sorry to say that as soon as the police man/ negotiator arrived on the scene I could see what was going to happen.
Still a good enough movie though, if a little too typical of that kind of plot.
 
I don't know if my comment above went completely over somes heaRAB, but it was in reference to the fact that his character reminded me somewhat of the Hannibal Lechter character he played in Silence of the Lambs. Just had that creepy aura about it.

Still, thought he was great as always.
 
Saw this movie last night and although it went on a bit, it was very good. Hopkins played his role extremely well, he brought elements of comedy into the movie which made it really gutsy and a bit different to what you would expect.
 
Can someone please tell me what that line was between

Willy & AH at the door right near the end when he said about the doctor saying something to do with his wife, he mumbled it and I have listened so many times to try and catch it..something along the lines of 'The doctor said.......'
