FOX Talkback - Family Guy (Season Premiere) "Blue Harvest" (Spoilers)

I liked it. Had I not seen the 10 min preview, I would have liked it a bit more.
All the Bits with John Williams, then Danny Elfman (People's court thing especially), "All Reds Check in" bit was great too.

A couple of low spots, one being Herbert. Just a bit creepy for my tastes, but the job was done. The song bit was a bit much, and lasted a bit long.

Worth the hype, I'll tell you that much, and an excellent way to start the season. Just hope all the wit and funny wasn't used in this episode alone this season.

I liked seeing Brian and Peter on the couch from the trash compactor near the end.

"See how comfy it is shooting back while we're sitting here?"
 
I'm a bit surprised no one complained about Herbert's appearance here. Last season we were hoping they'd get rid of him. Now it seems like everybody likes him. I'm still hoping they cut down on him a bit after this episode. He does seem to be a bit overused. Also, for everyone who mentioned the fact that Joe didn't appear, I could have seen him play Obi in Herb's place. Just a thought on this.

Yes, Herbert. Your character would be much better that way. Anyway, I should head down to work. I'll have to post more of my thoughts on this later on.
 
Anyone notice they brought back that guy during the scene where he ask Peter where he was taking Brain in the cell?

That dude is LMAO!

There were quite a few "Hey, did you know you're watching family guy?!" jokes for me. They fell back on established gags a bit too much.

That said, it was funny, but Q-3PO and Cleav2D2 carried alot of the weight.

My favorite was the RC/FG debate from Peter and Chris , I think it was adlibed.
 
The only thing I didn't like was Herbert singing "(I've Had) The Time Of My Life." Total filler. This was easily one of the best things they've done since the show came back though. I loved having an episode with no cut-aways, even though the whole episode was really one big cut-away.
 
I saw this special on Fox yesterday, and I though that it was awesome!

Here are some the things that I liked about this special.

- Cleveland R2-D2 carrying weed in a bag
- The old man that likes to stalk Chris as Obi Wan Kenobi
- Cleveland R2-D2 and Quagmire Q-3PO smoking weed
- Cleveland R2-D2 shooting an enemy ship with a pistol
- The weird pilots, like that big pack of red chewing gum, that are with Chris when they are about to attack the Death Star
- Chris telling Peter that Robot Chicken did a Star Wars special before they did

This special was quite awesome! Let's hope that it''ll get a DVD release. If it doesn't, there's a good chance that it'll get a rerun sometime on Adult Swim.

But ya, Meg's appearance wasn't too great, i think they could've found something crappier for her to play..

And iagree with The Myst, I enjoyed the lack of cut aways
 
Peter quoted the line "Prisoner transfer, from cell block 1138" that Luke said in the film.

Too bad some of the movie had to be trimmed. I was hoping to see Peter chasing Stormtroopers down the corridor, then see his reaction to rounding a corner and running into a whole squadron.

One of my favorite bits was the Falcon swinging across the frame with Peter still on the landing ramp holding onto the couch, shouting, "Hey, easy!" :D

Also loved, "Aren't you a little fat for a Stormtrooper?" "Okay, fine, stay here and rot, ya crazy b****." LMAO!!!
 
Well, that was a short 1 hour...
anyways, this episode was okay, did they cut the "Luke, I Am Your Father" line from this special, or did they just aired this as-is (By FOX's standards...)?

anyways, well, at least they nod'ed CN ( [as] ) for 'Chicken Star Wars (Which they will air again later next month...)
