So far it's hilarious. I love the newspaper gag about Al Gore praising Carlos Mencia for recycling jokes, and the virtual trip was a twist I wasn't expecting. Roger as an actor who can't cry is great, too.
 
Fairly good; but as soon as I saw Becky on the boat I knew she was going to end up being eaten (and not in the way Steve wanted): (we need a Quagmire emoticon)
 
Extremely boring episode. The main plot was lacking and devolved into the sort of crazy plot I'd expect from Family Guy. American Dad is usually better at that. The Roger sub-plot just went nowhere.
 
While better than Family Guy tonight, this episode was sort of slow. By the 2nd and 3rd acts, it picked up a bit, but this was not a very exciting season premire by any means.

Man, FOX shows just weren't on the ball tonight. Very disappointing.

We've been there and done this before with Roger. Both with the fat man that wants to do him and with the deplorable conditions he has to put up with because of his ignorance.

However, plot A was tight. I was actually a bit put back by the whole 'eating steve's lover' thing in a good way, it's neat to see boundaries pushed in rarer ways. Ha, also the boob stuff was funny, although I was expecting more of that considering the writers.

Heh heh the goo tanks were hilarious, I loved how each family member tricked each other so they could have their alone time. And Roger was great trying to get the parts especially when he was in the waiting room with that one girl and pretended she didn't exist. The ending came out of nowhere though I didn't expect that to happen. But surprise endings are more fun that way.
 
Now this was a season start with significance. The whole goo thing was original and great, and the second and third acts weren't too shabby either. Yes, the boat girl was going to die, but that was the only predictable thing about it. Well, that and Roger failing, but that's part of his character.
 
Luckly, after being somewhat disapointed by Family Guy, the American Dad season permire was there to cheer me up.

This is probably one of the first times that American Dad did better than Family Guy in my book.

And just because she's an organ donor doesn't make you canibales. (sp?)

Not a very good way to start the season. It wasn't altogether bad, but there just wasn't enough funny stuff in it.

I hope this show hasn't run out of steam already. The latter portion of season 2 was pretty lacking as well.
