FOX Talkback - American Dad! - "Meter Made" (Spoilers)

Yes, halilys flat. But apparently satisfactory enough for Steve, and we shall never speak of it again. (This still doesn't top the male breast episode in terms of creepiness.)

I've still never seen Goodfellas. Does this mean every single cartoon scene since 1990 where a character flushes evidence down the toilet was a reference to this movie?

Hey, why the heck didn't the Goodfeathers rip this?

Oh boy, if it wasn't for the black guy Stan was working for, this episode probably wouldn't have been as hilarious. Absolutely loved everything he said and did.

AD's been down this path before of a flashback sandwich, but hey, at least it was still funny like usual.

B+

LOL That scene with Steve coming out of the bathroom was hilarious and disturbing at the same time.Good episode

Say was that Mike Rowe(Dirty Jobs) voicing the meter maid that was showing Stan around? His design and voice were similar to Rowe.

AD keeps getting better each season. The first season was good, but many of the jokes fell flat. Yes, I hate how the government is run too, but after a while it stops becoming funny, and starts reminding us of how angry we are.

Steve's creepy attraction to his sister comes out on top again, after the episode where Rogers goes apesnot and plays a horrible practical joke on Steve. Now the scene with him and the painting. Wow!

I loved the house painter as well, but the best part had to have been Stan screaming in his sleep. AAAAH! SEAGULLS!!!! Francine! They can drive this time.

Like Family Guy, American Dad's latest ep tried to seem a bit more clever then it was with a few fairly 4th wall jokes tied to the plot points: Mainly Stan's opening narration and Francinne/Stan's expostionally calls to they're family (and I guess Roger calling out Hayley's "this isn't over" which has been said before in these kind of plots). In truth though there wasn't really much to really enjoy about this one: I did like the Hayley/Roger plot with Roger selling Hayley's nude painting and even Hayley getting back at him (since he has screwed her over on other stuff before) but didn't really care for the Stan/Francinne plot so much. I mean really the whole "want to be a someone" plot dosen't feel like something suited for American Dad, lame CIA bashing or not. Also besides Stan beating up the Meter Maid, Francinne trying to slink away in court, Francinne beating up the neighbor, and the continuity of the reality woman only having one hand (since I assume the other was cut off sometime offscreen in the second epsiode) nothing much to this one. It didn't have as many dry moments as FG so it's slightly better but the Simpsons defintley won last night, though at least AD claimed second.

It wasn't just that. It was that along with the narration and music. Just go watch the movie and you'll see what we mean.

Casino does similar stuff to this as well.
