FOX Talkback - American Dad - "Haylias" Talkback (Spoilers)

A good Stan Hayley episode. There were a few of them in the beginning but recently Hayley has almost became this shows Meg. I don't want her to she and Stan play off each other too well for that to happen.

The idea of this episode was great, and I like how it was executed. The fight was hilarious. Steve/Roger subplot was funny, especially at Hayley's wedding (the "laugh & freeze frame"-very funny). Good plus for giving Klaus funny stuff to work with.

Yet another great episode of American Dad.

5/5

Yeah a fun episode. It had been a while since I watched American Dad. I too thought Hayley's hairstyle in her wedding dress was pretty good. She needs to stick to that :p

Rogers backstory for his persona was very funny "I was that baby." "It doesn't make any sense!"

"Wheels and...the Angel!"

hehehehe.

and Freeze Frame joke...oh how I LOVE freeze frame joke!

I didn't see the Peter Griffin cameo...where was that?

First of all, loving the Muppet Show "At the Dance" reference by Stan.

Secondly, the pairing of this episode with the Family Guy episode was a pretty clever move. intentional or not. While we saw Stewie not really kill Lois, and it was all a dream, Hayley really shot Stan. And they tried to play it off as a dream. Brillaint. These episodes work well together.

Seeing Klaus as a character again was great. i felt they put him too far in the back lately. I love Roger, but sometimes Klaus can really make the episode memorable.

The subplot was another funny little Steve/Roger bit. Both fighting over who should be the odd partner out, and both being in wheel chairs. Then finding random people on the street and pretending they're their partners. That was great. And the flashback sequence Steve had of a whole minute ago was a nice little gag too.

But I just love these action packed fight sequences from FG and AD. They pull no punches, and actually open fire on each other. now this is what I like to see in animation. Cartoon blood. Because no one really gets hurt, so you can do whatever the heck you want to them.

Like how they got rid of Hayley's BF at the beginning of the episode. And the activation code phrase? Priceless.

Oh yeah forgot about the boyfriend thing XD

Oh and is it just me or there was a lot of 'migrant worker' jokes last night? Two in Family Guy, I know there was one in American Dad but I forgot where and apparantly one in King of the Hill!

I also forgot Steve's "Best. catchphrase. Ever." when the catchphrase was really lame XD the 'you're on a roll Wheels!" thing was just as lame but far more hilarious

I agree- Steve and Roger were hilarious in this episode. Naturally, of course. I just wish they'd get better focus, sometimes. Stan's plot was alright, but I was way more amused by Steve and Roger's subplot.I'll be quoting that for some time. xD

Ya know, the concept of Hayley being a secret weapon for the CIA and Stan's involvement with it proved to be truly a killer episode (and even though Hayley loses all them awesome moves she possessed, it would be something if she unpredictably kept it in some radical plot twist in future episodes). I've always personally enjoyed Stan and Hayley interacting because the two are radically different, yet so similiar because of their stubborn nature on their own beliefs.

I especially enjoyed the ending where it seemed to have set off a reset button (ironically when the conclusion of "Stewie Kills Lois" did--though I predicted that'll happen), but instead find Stan actually have been shot. Threw me for a loop, a good one, that is. I didn't really care much for Roger and Steve's little subplot, didn't have the usual "oomph" the two deliver.

I like how they took a joke from a season 1 episode and expanded upon the idea. Great returns all around. Anyone else feel like Dill was a copy of Truman Capote?

The Roger/ Steve plot was interesting, not the highlight, but was okay none the less.

4.5/5
