FOX NEWS: First, Michael Jackson and now the African American community?

edit: "EVER lost MJ." Sorry for the typo.
Someone on this network recently asked two black men with Ph.D.'s : "Now that Michael Jackson has gone on, is the African American community trying to reclaim him? Did the African American community ever feel they lost Michael Jackson because of plastic surgery and the marriages to white women?"

I was like what the hell--for ONE, I don't think the black community never LOST Michael Jackson. Hell, with the way the media treated him, he was obviously still perceived as a black man.

And secondly, to me, that's the equivalent of the proposition that because my black father married my an American Indian woman and had me, he's distanced himself from black society.

And finally, what does it matter if he married white women? There was a time when you'd be murdered for even looking at a white woman, but today, white women/black men intermarriages are rampant. And as SOON as people see one with their own eyes, the black man is obviously an "Uncle Tom."

why does anyone care, he lived his life, and i personaly dnt think its wrong if a black man marries a white women or any other religion, its ur life do what ever the hell makes u happy, no one else should care what u do with ur life, they need to just myob bc what u do isnt up to them, yahnooo , so w.e

The black community never abandoned Michael. never. Michael was married to two white women but everybody knew that MJ didn't like girls. He was almost asexual. Michael was scared of a real relationship. That is why he married Debbie Rowe...she was a brood mare. Since MJ died the press has been going crazy trying to make up stories and have new angles to an already sad, predictable story. Two things killed MJ: drugs and the greed of Joe Jackson when MJ was a child. MJ never got over the abuse and torment of childhood. RIP MJ.
