That's a very good question, that I had brought up before. It's just, no one seemed to have cared about it. Glad someone else other than me made a topic like this.
The thing is, while I do want to see the block more cartoon oriented, I don't want another hack job company securing the block that does anime, like the past two companies that worked on it. But when you look at it, most of the anime distrobuters don't seem to have alot of cartoon oriented material, or at the very least child safe.
However, I do wish I could see FUNimation trying to give the saturday morning block a chance. To be honest, they actually have kid properties that they wouldn't be able to get on TV normally, given the way Cartoon Network is at the moment. However, the issue with FUNimation, most of the children properties they do have access to are actually targetted towards girls (Mamotte! Lollipop and Sasami for instance). However, they do have other properties (One Piece and Keroro Gunsou) that could fit the boy demographic. Although, there would be irony to see One Piece back in that timeslot.
As for non-anime companies taking the timeslot, I'm having a hard time figuring out who would want to try and create a kid oriented block there, given most of them have already occupied the other morning channel slots...
