Fourth Terminator Film - TBR May 2009

And i have my own opinions, T2 was without doubt a film which set standarRAB so high, that even now many films own their existence to it, at that time it was the film which proved a sequel could be better than the original.

However I enjoyed T3, mainly because i got another film out of the series, the let down was mainly there was no movement from the second film, it was merely a rehash of the action bits from T2, but i do think the last 10 minutes gave me food for thought and was quite interesting, maybe the final ten minutes should have been the beginning of the film itself.

T3 was ultimately like going back out with an old girlfriend..... fun and exciting at first, but we should not have gone there.

I'd say The Terminator (and to an extent T2) is the archetypal "chase" movie, so I'm not too sure how you can knock T3 for being effectively the same, (without the same level of plot and character development obviously).

I also think the fact that Bale's involved speaks for itself. I'm struggling to think of a bad movie he's been involved in and I don't think he would have signed up unless the material/vision was worthy. I'm quite confident he can repeat what he did with the Batman franchise and refresh it, and get it back more to the feel of Terminator 2.

The film "follows the events of T3"? Is T3 canon?

I thought the events of T3 had been ignored by the makers of Sarah Connor Chronicles?

Are T3 and T4 going to be out of canon with SCC?

While I am intruiged, I hate the fact that, again, it's a new cast and they are just squeezing the franchise dry. Should have ended after T3.

Looks like the first teaser poster for this has popped up already:

Here and here for more.

Also, evidently we will get a teaser trailer attached to the Dark Knight. Should be interesting.
