Fourth Bourne movie announced

I guess winning the oscar for film editing is a big two fingers up to those who "felt sick" whilst watching the action scenes. :p

I'm feeling perhaps we'll be seeing a lot more of that in future films.

Bring on the fourth!

Tight cutting and close ups so close you can't see what the hell is going on is one thing, it's the constant jerking about of the camera to pretend it's cinema verite is the numskull bit.

Until the 'next big thing' comes along and they all suddenly realise what a tiresome and cliched waste of time it really is.

Yup, for all my moaning about this aspect of the movie I do like them generally and welcome more in the series.

Each to their own. I liked it, gets you right in there with the action.

Agreed. Like the frame wizardry in Saving Private Ryan, and the countless other things after. It'll be fashionable for a while.

No, immediately I'm pulled out of the suspension of disbelief with a, "Oh look, they're deliberately shaking the camera about again to make me think it's a documentary, when I know full well it isn't". My brain works quick like that.

Bullet time anyone?

I am looking forward to this. Although the 'Ultimatum' title suggests it was the end, the content of the film really only got us as far as the end of the first book - 'Identity'. Ludlum wrote two further books dealing with events after JB discovered his true identity and background... 'Supremacy' & 'Ultimatum' (used for the film titles). So there is plenty of material that could be used for a new film and still stay truthful to Ludlum's creation (although there was really very little regard to the books in the films). For a title I would expect they'll go for 'Legacy' (the 4th book, written by Eric Van Lustbader). There's even a 5th book by EVL - 'Betrayal', so a 5th film isn't out of the question.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

You heard it did you? Because a quick google suggests that this is a kneejerk 'announcement' following the Oscars and completely at odRAB with Damon's comments about not doing another.

Many film sites around the net are treating it with scepticism.

Oh yeah :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Over on the Dark Horizons web site they reported this, with Universal stating despite their reservation Damon & Greengrass are both signed on. Garth is usually pretty clued-up and accurate so I'd tend to trust it.

So I wonder where they will go with the 4th film. Perhaps Landy being killed, Bourne sees it on the TV and decides to go after the people who authorised the CIA operations.. perhaps even ending up breaking into the Whitehouse and threatening the President?

Hooray!!! I am absolutely delighted that there is going to be another Bourne film! It doesn't matter if the story or the script is rubbish. What matters is that we will get another chance to see the extremely gorgeous Matt Damon with his hanRABome face and his enormously big strong muscles and listen to his incredibly deep attractive voice.
