Found condom in my BF's bag, kind confused please read?

Ok, I am with my BF 9 years together, he is sweet and loves me, I love him too however our sexual life is quite inexistent the last couple of years, he is 52 I am 30, actually I sleep every night at his house , he has never given me any suspicion of cheating and stuff, I am not jeallous type either, anyway yesterday night he was sleeping and my cigarettes finished, so I thought maybe he has in his bag, I opened it and oh la la , I found a box of condoms with only 1 inside. I confronted him today and he said a friend of his gave it to him for fun in Valentine's day... he said if you want call this friend but I wouldnt do that ,then I found some mobile numbers written here and there on some enevelopes inside his bag, jsut a mobile and a man's name (one from Lebanon, one from Syria) we are in Greece btw, and near my bf shop there is a ghetto with immigrants who cruise for sex with money you know. This also seemed fishy to me, he said they were some clients etc, and he also said that if he wanted to do something he wouldnt leave the bag like this, or he wouldnt leave the condom in there he would use it and throw it, meaning that he doesn;t have anything to hide... I am really confused, I do love him but on the other hand the thought of him making out with some other guy makes me want to puke. What would you think? Thank you guys, have a good day
