Foster slams 'offensive' 'Sin City'

I can understand a lot of criticisms of Sin City (talk about misogyny - the women are all either prostitutes of victims), but Foster is clueless in this accusation. There was nothing nice or funny about the abduction plotline.

So it's alright for Jodie Foster to do a rape film which in IMO was far too graphic, but Sin City can't cover abduction and molestation. The outcome of both films gave the same message so whats the problem, the bad guys loose/die for doing evil things. Jodie Foster is becoming to mouthy for her own good as she has also been slagging off Lohans mum.

Quite. The women are either prostitutes or victims. Still doesn't represent a very healthy view of women for Frank Miller.

I enjoy Sin City (books and film) - I just think Frank Miller may have a few.. err.. issues.

Yeah, it's amazing how many people fail to pick up on the irony of stereotypes in Sin City. The women are always strong and the prostitutes do not tolerate misogynistic behaviour - in fact a guy who behaves inappropriately is likely to lose his balls.

And have no idea why Jodie Foster got her knickers in a twist - movies deal with this subject matter all the time. And despite Sin City's tongue in cheek nature it treats the child abduction plotline very seriously.

Maybe it's just sour grapes because she wasn't asked to be in it, or she auditioned and didn't get the role?

She hasn't been in any big movies recently, has she?

Paddy :D

Hotel New Hampshire also showed her character getting raped.

If only she had said she wasn't a fan of Quentins work since Jackie Brown, then I would support her.

i saw the trailer for her new film this week and my first impression is that it looks like a remake of Death Sentence (the recent Kevin Bacon revenge film) just with more serious actors.
