I just watched Frost/Nixon. It's pretty good, with Michael Sheen BRILLIANT as David Frost (is there anything this guy can't do?? Although oddly he reminded me of Mike Myers playing Austin Powers some of the time. If you've seen it you'll know what I mean...) and Frank Langella also doing a great job.
Obviously it's gonna be a bit boring for some viewers, especially if you couldn't give a toss about who Nixon is or Watergate. Interestingly enough, it hardly goes into Watergate at all, so if you don't know what it is you're not really gonna learn that here! But you get sucked into the two central characters all the same. I would say that it's actually MORE about David Frost than Richard Nixon, which surprised me.
The only problem is that you actually CAN'T redeem Nixon's actions in the Watergate scandal. He was basically a criminal who got let off by Gerald Ford (his succesor). OK he did some good during his presidency but you just can't forget Watergate. So there's only so much sympathy you can have for the guy.
