Foriegn cars SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I moved this thread, because it's not an "Issue", it's just one guy's flawed opinion, and rant.

Now my response. You're argument holds no water. I can say it's a fact, that not all, and as a matter of fact, many, foreign cars do not suck, further more, there are many American cars that Do suck. It's not an opinion, it's a fact. Where as there are many American cars that are comfortable, sporty, high quality materials, and workmanship/design. There are just as many if not more foreign cars that have the same good qualities. The Germans have long been leaders in the quality auto manufacturing market, as have the Japanese. The facts speak for themselves. To deny it is futile.

I'm highly patriotic. I want great things for my country, and have great pride in America, and being an American. However, I hate to break the news to you, but most of the cars you mentioned, are comprised of as much as 60% foreign made parts. Why should (by your logic) stop at cars? Why not buy everything domestic, and nothing foreign? We as Americans spend thousands a year on electronics. Is everything electronic it your house, made by GE MasterTB?

Sorry, but you're wrong, and your logic is flawed, plain and simple.

Edit: BTW my next auto is going to be a Jeep Liberty.
 
You're retarded. Do me a favor and go find out how many "American" auto makers have plants in foreign countries and only assemble their cars here in the U.S. Then come back and explain to me how putting people out of work in the U.S. by not buying cars from the factories where those people are employed is a good thing for our economy.

Just because it helps out another country's economy does not mean that it's bad for ours. Do some more homework. :thumbsdn:
 
My AMERICAN made Ford was made in Mexico and assembled in the US.

My JAPANESE made motorcycle was made in the United states and assembed in the Unite States.

Which did more good for the American economy? The one that was made in the states by US workers at a plant that pays US taxes? Or the one that was made in Mexico that pays... Mexican workers?

More "foreign cars" are made in the US that "US" made cars. FORD and GM both have huge manufacturing plants oversees while Toyota, Honda, Hunday etc make a large number of their cars in the US.

I'm sorry, I'd rather pay 1,000 us workers than 1 US executive. It's better for the economy.
 
You should buy whatever car you can afford. If you can't afford one, get a bus pass. If you can't afford the bus, walk where you need to go. Period.
 
I will only drive a Japanese vehicle . They are better engineered than american . I have lots of cars over the years from all of the american big three but it is my rusty old toyota that keeps running . That fucker will start in -35C without being plugged in .
 
Dude, my dad used to drive an '86 Toyota Land Cruiser, which he bought new, and sold it in really good working condition, in 2002. I currently drive a '95 Honda Accord LX, that has yet to fuck up on me. So, thanks but no thanks, I'm sticking to foreign, much better fuel efficiency wise and quality wise.
 
I drive a 95 Honda Passport... no complaints there either, I have 137,000 miles on it as well.

It gets far better gas mileage than my hubbys 99 Dodge Ram 1500. When/if I get tired of my Passport, I'll probably go KIA Sedona - mombile for the safety issues and price.
 
63' Lincoln Continental...88' Jeep rockcrawler...63' Porsche SC...94' Nissan Sentra...Sentra gets 31 MPG, so yeah, I will drive the "Jap crap" to save money to spend on other things that are American made...besides most of the major japanese mfg's have huge plants in U.S. that make 1000's of jobs...
 
99 chevy lumina is the family car, 2000 grand prix gt is my day-to-day car. Both got decent mileage and have yet to crap out (knock knock knock). Got the wife an '00 vette and myself an '03 RoadStar when I got back from Iraq last year....they both do remarkably well, all things considered. All made in US factories, btw.
