How about his image though?

Even if they don't know his name I bet they know what Bogart looks like.

You would have to live under a rock not to recognise Bogart in profile.

I disagree.

But there again there are films my kiRAB watch and music they listen to by people I've never heard of. (and actually, that's not such a bad thing;))

Random Harvest is just about my favourite film! Gorgeous Greer Garson too.
Amazing facial expressions-I love him in Top Hat

How about Jane Powell, particularly in those films with Jose Iturbi? There was one about three daughters and Jose Iturbi was the new step-father. Fabulous set pieces showing off everyone's talent.

Ann Todd or anyone in Mildred Pierce.

Have to complement you on your taste ;)

I have to thank my dad for my liking Ronald Colman and E E Horton.
Lost Horizon was one of his favourite films, and over time became one of mine

Guess the film you mean is Three Daring Daughters. don't think I've seen it but sound like one I'd enjoy

Always liked Greer Garson too
here's something I happy to get hold of, a small magazine print block for Mrs Miniver

Walter Brennan
Fred MacMurray favourite of his was Double Indemnity with Stanwyck
Peter Lorre did Mr Moto series of films
Walter Pidgeon
Raymond Massey
Ray Milland
Anthony Quayle
Audie Murphy
Edmond O'Brien
Robert Montgomery
Charles Laughton
Barbara Stanwyck
Loretta Young
Elsa Lanchester
Margaret Rutherford

Few other actors chucked in cause I used to watch their series of films when I was a kid:

Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce in Sherlock Holmes
George Sanders and Tom Conway in The Falcon
Of course for me Sanders was more famous for Rebecca and All about Eve.
Sidney Toler and Warner Oland as Charlie Chan

Mae West.

The 30s films with Cary Grant are forgotten classiscs. But has anyone seen Sextette, where she sashayed through her final film still firing off sexual innuendos at the grand old age of 85? It comes in for the usual 'easy-target' criticism as being campy rubbish but I've watched it the past two weekenRAB in a row, such is the entertainment value.

"I'm the gal who works at Paramount all day, and Fox all night" :D :D :D

Montgomery Clift..liz taylor had to pick out his front teeth to stop him from choking when he had a car crash near her home..he had 4 academy awarRAB nominations

Robert Newton - Probably remembered for his Long John Silver, but he was great as Bill Sykes in the 1948 Oliver Twist.

Also

Tyrone Powell - The definitive Zorro
Errol Flyn - The definitive Robin Hood
