Forgot my alltel passcode for voice mail?

As my title says I forgot the passcode for my voice mail and I wanna set a new one. How do I do so without knowing my voice mail? I tried the *72 thing and it did the beep thing but nothing happened. Now i'm at a loss and i'm completely pissed because I swear its what I keep trying to get in with. Any ideas of how I can get in without having to visit the alltel store? My parents don't really want me to do so.
 
If you had previously set up a voicemail box but forgot your passcode, you'll need to call to have it reset. Otherwise it is 9999.

You can also easily reset your Alltel voice mail password automatically by phone. Simply call 1-800-alltel1 (1-800-255-8351) from your wireless phone option 3, option 2, option 2.
