Ford taurus starts selectively. Solenoid problem?

My 98 Ford Taurus only starts occasionally. The radio, windows, and lights always turn on. When i turn the ignition I can hear the engine TRYING to start. Sometimes it starts, other times i have to turn the ignition 10+ times for it to finally run.
From what I've read, it might be the solenoid. Does anyone know how much this costs to replace?
Also, if it's not this, what do you think could be the problem?
 
Remove your stater and take it to auto zone or advance auto and have it tested for free.If you do have solenoid problems it is better to replace entire starter since it comes with a new solenoid and at least 1year warranty.
