I'm trying to install an aftermarket radio in this 99 taurus.
I'm of course using Metra. and this radio wiring will only enable the front two speakers to produce any sound. But, I thought I was done, and everything works fine, except there's no sound at all.
The radio has a green wire for (the instructions say) the left speaker. I'm assuming its the front. So according to Metra, I could tie this wire to Metra's white wire. Or I could tie it to the white/black one. That's the one its tied to now cause when it was tied to the white one, there was no sound.
The radio instructions say that the right speaker is gray, which could be tied to either Metra's gray wire (which it was, but didn't work, like the last one.) or the gray/black wire, which its currently tied to.
I still have no sound and have no idea where I'm going wrong.
Everything else works fine. help?
