ford taurus 2001 3.0 v6 what cause it to run good at idle?

in park when in drive. wont move in drive with gas pedal on floor at 700 rpm but move with one of the exhaust manifold off with good speed
 
You did the hard part already. You did the troubleshooting for any mechanic. The answer to your problem is the catalytic converter is plugged. Replace the cat converter and it will run fine. Don't run the car with the exhaust manifold off, you'll burn exhaust valves very quickly. Don't just remove the cat converter either, that is a federal offense.
