I currently have a 1990 Ford Ranger supercab 5 speed. Currently it has a 2.9l v6. I'm looking to put a new engine in the truck and have noticed that a 302 engine is atleast a couple of hundred less than a 2.9L v6. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the V8 conversion. Is a mechanic going to charge me more to install the 302 than the v6? Also will I have to buy any other parts for the conversion to work?
