ford mustang with the 2.3L (4 cylinder) motor?

It depends
on the transmission.
My ex had a mustang that came with a 6 put a 4 cylinder in it sold it to her dad and he put a 300 in it and that worked out fine
so was it originally a 4 cylinder? or was that a swap?

BTW that 5.0 is a screaming engine you will be very happy with that in your car by far best mustang engine
 
if i droped a 302 in it will i have to change the tran. or will the tran. hold up from going from a 4 cylinder motor to a v8 or will i have to put a different trans in it to
