Ford Mustang 5.0 LX questions?

I have a 1990 5.0 LX 5 spd. convertible.
173k miles.
But it's been taken care of and serviced regularly.

What is the best sounding and best performing cam I can put in it?
And while I'm in there, what else should I add?

Also, I know I'll eventually need a new transmission, what is the strongest tranny I can get?

What driveshaft do I need? Would an aluminum one be good?

What is the strongest locked rear end I can get with 3.73 gears?

I realize that's a lot of questions, but I know there's some mustang gurus out there too, help me out.

my fav car is a mustang but i'm not very good with tellin you what to put in it i know someone who is tho so if you want to get me ur email i can hav him talk to ya

bigger cams mean more work on lifters, springs. Alot of work if ya wanna go to a good size cam. I would rec new heads with tread in studs instead of your pressed in ones, I would leave that alone till your ready to build one on the stand.
trans, t5 from the mustangs were also found in F series trucks, don't get much stronger without getting slower.
ford went to alu drive shafts cause of vibration, I have a worked f350 crew on 38's that pulls hole-shots like a mustang with steel drive shafts.
8.8 axles were also found in trucks and are plenty strong enough unless the person setting the gears messed up. Find alot of that at the track.
