Hi All - I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I have a Ford Mondeo 1998. When I initially purchased it the central locking worked (it is CL with a key, not a remote). I started to notice the key would stick when unlocking the driver side, now it will not open at all. It feels like if I push it too far the key will snap off. To unlock it I have to use the passenger door.
Now, there are more issues! The car was off the road for a while and during that time the battery died. When the battery was replaced with a brand new one I discovered that when a driver closed the door, the door would then not open from the inside... however the handle on the inside would lock and unlock the central locking for all the other doors (as though the key was being turned).
My question is: will this be difficult to fix and roughly how much do you think it will cost? Ive been told the latch has just dropped off, so it should be simple... but I dont know a great deal about cars.
Any help you can give would be REALLY appreciated!
