automobile industry? ? The record of GM management is an abomination. Even Ross Perot took his money and bailed out of GM in the Eighties. GM gets a thumb down at my house, despite my brother-in-law's cushy "job." No bail out for GM. But what is your impression of their long, rotten track record? Maybe I am mistaken?

So you are ok with the feds having to pay the over 27 billion in pensions, and medical benefits since the government insures all pensions? The the government losing over $50 billion dollars in taxes from them. The over 1 million people that would have to collect unemployment plus extensions. Then the now worker left behind programs that will have to be used to re train all of the workers.
So the government will end up having to pay close to 100 billion if they go bust.

You are NOT mistaken, not by a long shot.

GM management has mastered the art of pushing multiple noodles around on various plates rather than address ANY of their serious issues.

The management team just finds more and more ways to rake in bucks to their own personal accounts. And Washington wants to give them more?

Sheesh!
