ford galaxy 02 cooling fan will not stop?

hi i have a 2002 ford galaxy and since jump starting my mums car the other day my cooling fan will not stop even with the engine switched off so my battery is completely drained can anyone help please.
 
the sensor for the clutch fan is pooched. Either replace it or put a manual toggle switch on the dash and bypass the sensor. with the manual swich u must remember to turn ot on to prevent overheating and shut it off when parked so u dont drain the battery
 
Its relay is probably got a welded contact, or its sensor is stuck in 'closed' circuit, as indicating "hot".
I would replace them both with new ones, as well as the thermostat.

Another condition is that the fan circuit is 'closing its contact' without the signal from the sensor, hence, turning itself on at the turn of the key. Have an electrician check it out; it's not so complicated.

This to be safe.
