My fiance's 2002 Focus (zts) just recently had the alternator, ignition coil, and spark plugs changed. About two weeks after the alternator was replaced, the battery light started coming on again and all of the electrical stuff in the car turned off as we were driving down the street.
We had it checked by a friend who looks at cars. He said it may be an electrical problem, but was unsure. All of the tests at Auto Zone and Advance Auto show that the alternator and battery are fine.
The car runs really terribly, the engine is super loud and the battery light flickers (usually the first time you start the car for the day). This morning all of the electrical stuff shut off again. Can anyone help us with ideas on what the problem might be?
We took it to a place called tune up plus. We were on vacation on our way to the beach and it was the closest place the car would make it too
It was right next to the auto zone where we bought the part. Since we bought the part (because it was cheaper that way) the mechanic told us they would not warranty labor when I called.
