I have a ford focus 1.8 T reg. It's had the usual over rev-ving problems just recently but we changed the vacuum hose and it seemed to do the job . Suddenly it won't start unless we use jump leads then it drives fine.When you turn the ignition it ticks a few times and thats it, i'm wondering if it could be the battery or possibly the alternator but these are expensive ! so i was hoping someone out there might have some advice .
