ford focus insurance?

any one know which type of ford focus has a low insurance group, i am looking to buy one soon but want one that has a cheap insurance policy, i am thinking of a focus ghia 1600 or 1800cc around 03 reg, any help please,

I had a 1.6 zetec and it was a group 7 to insure if I remember which is below average. I increased the excess I would pay in the event of an accident and kept the annual mileage below 10,000 which both help reduce the cost.

Depending on the value of the car and if its on finance or not third party rather than fully comprehensive could be an option, not recommended if its on finance though!

The 1600 Ghia is group 6 (nearly all 1600s are) and the 1800 Ghia is group 7 (as most 1800s are). The lowest ones are the 1400s which are group 4 but there is no Ghia

Depends on your age, accident history...If its your first car then a 1.6 or 1.8 will cost a bomb to insure.
