I have recently bought a Ford Focus 1999 2.0 petrol hatchback which was advertised to have ABS and traction control, I have recently discovered that the ABS wasnt working due to sliding around in the snow and I have also noticed that there is no ABS light brightening when I turn on the ignition. I have searched for the ABS and traction control in the dashboard and the lights are present but never light up. I have checked all of the fuses in the fuse box and they are all fine including number 31 or 30 which is ABS. What else could be the problem, I am not a mechanic and so I do not have the means to take the car to pieces on my own. Could someone please tell me what to look for. Thank you.
