hi i have a ford focus 1.8 tdci zetec 115 2003 model, had trouble starting with cold weather but always got away eventually but this morning went to pick g/f up tried to start and it did but really struggled then later tried again and nothing just a click, opened bonnet and tried again and small puff of smoke came from engine bay but just a click never it never tried to turn over. it did bump start however and i drove it home without trouble, any ideas anyone?, the smoke concerns me does a knackered starter kick out smoke ? cheers
