Ford Fiesta (2001) front wiper problem?

My better half has a 2001 Fiesta 1.25 zetec, yesterday the front driver's side wiper decided to start slipping clean off the side of the windscreen on the 'up' stroke. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this (and suggestions on how to fix it)?
 
Just lift the plastic cover on the wiper arm where it is hinged and tighten the nut that is holding the arm onto the wiper wheelbox spindle.Set the blade in the correct position before you tighten the nut
 
put the wiper into rest mode,{both wipers at the bottom of the screen} then lift the cap up at the end where the wiper is attatched to the car, then tighten the 13mm nut, this should stop it
 
Either wear on one of the pivot points in linkage, or, the most common fault the spindle nut has come loose, lift up plastic cover, position arm in correct place and tighten 13m nut, replace cover
