The truck is a '91 ford. It has been sitting for about two years my son and I used the battery out of my truck to see if we could get it running. It did start and run a little rough for about a minute then cleared up. My son went into town and picked up a new battery for the truck. He did not wait for me to get back to help him and he set the battery in backwards and hooked it up backwards. Positive to negative and vise verse. He called me and told me it would not start just turn over. I got there and the fuel pump in the front fuel tank was running continuously even with the key off and out laying in the seat. I found the battery hooked up wrong and swapped them around. Now the truck will turn over the pumps will shut off when the key is off but will not start. I soaked a rag in gas and held it over the intake and the engine will start and run but it will not feed itself fuel. The fuel rail has pressure on it. Any ideas?

Fried ECM.

Ignition works, starter works, fuel pump works but the injectors don't pulse right?

Wish I had a better answer for you but it sounds to me like he cooked it.
