Ford Explorer check engine light came on after steam clean?

So i just finished cleaning my engine and after driving for 5mins the check engine light came on. is it just wet and i should just let it dry off or is it serious .

It will dry out. Next time do it with the motor running.

it set code from being wet possible a misfire code due to wet plug wires or a sensor that has moisture in it, drive it to let engine heat dry out sensors and wires, then u could un hook battery to clear codes and shut off light, leave un hooked atleast 1min,

The mass air flow sensor gets wet. If you want you can remove the intake air tube and clean out the sensor with sensor cleaner (basically contact cleaner and then dry it with air. This sometimes happens when driving in the fog too.
