Ford explorer 4x4 MPG V8?

I'm looking at purchasing a used Ford Explorer and I'm wondering what people are actually getting for gas mileage. I know there are websites out there that tell you what they should be getting, but I'm wondering what people are really getting. Let me know what year you have and what MPG you get, V6 or V8 and if you like your SUV.
 
Realistically, you'll probably get 14 city and 18 highway. But that's if the car is tuned properly with a clean air filter, good oil and spark plugs.
