I don't think it is damp as much as rain getting somewhere.Definitely not plugs or plugleads , as i changed them , and leads are dry..It is a 94 injection zetec ,and any ideas where to look .Thanks in advance
WD40. Spray plenty of it it over anything that looks electrical. Especially plug caps and leads and back to the box that feeds them. WD40 will not harm any parts and actually protects rubber and plastics. Let it dry off for a couple of hours as it is flammable for a short time!
Also an old trick is to look under the bonnet in the dark whilst the engine is running. It needs to be really dark, not under a street lamp and with car lights off. On a damp, rainy evening you are very likely to see the glow of shorting electrics which will pinpoint the fault. This is before you WD it of course.
