Ford diesel engines - 1.4L v 1.6L?

Ford seem to have stopped putting the 1.6L tdci diesel in the Fiesta in favour of the 1.4. Are there any advantages to the 1.4? Thanks in advance.

They haven't. You can have either the 1.4 or the 1.6 in the Fiesta, at least according to Ford today.
