Looking to buy a mid 90's diesel. My step dad has a 96 chevy 3500 diesel that has 550k miles has never had engine or transmission work done since new (transmission fluid has never even been changed) and its an all around great truck. I love the Cummins in a dodge but I'm more of a Ford guy. A Ford with a cummins engine and allison trans would be great but its not happening haha. Which truck is the most durable and reliable? What kind of fuel mileage do they get? If you have personal experience with one let me know about it.
