Ford 429 new starter install?

Quick question, I bought a new power master starter for a 1970 Ford 429. There is a stud for the wire to the battery (through relay) and then there is a second connector. The second connector looks like it is attached to the solenoid. Do I just crimp a wire from this connector to the relay? If so what gauge should I use? Thanks for your help.
