I was told there is a rod that connects to the tranny and to my linkage on the carb as a downshift rod, but i cant find where it is? i found the spot on the car, cant see a rod behind the block or anything, is this piece needed? if so where can i find on and where on the transmisson does it link up? alos after changing the transmission fluid and filter and refilling through the fluid level check my truck sat for about 3 months and did not run until now, after getting the truck to run i have found that it will not go into gear, not even a drop in idle when you shift from p to r or d for that, but after punching the gas it will slighty move but never into gear it seems, i have tried shifting through all the gears for about 10 minutes and still nothing. it was sitting on jacks until now, would that have anything to do with it?
