I've been dealing with this for a few months now and can't figure it out at all
it doesn't overheat until the coolant has been pushed out
idling with the radiator cap off it doesn't have the problem
only when either driving (with the radiator cap on) or snapping open the throttle open with the cap off
there doesn't seem to be any flow issues in the coolant flow other than it comes out of the top when the RPMs are increased either by driving or snapping the throttle open with the cap off and this is not a temperature based problem meaning it will happen cold as much as it will happen after it warms up
