I received a recall notice 09S09 for the 1998 Ford Windstar (a minivan). Has anyone else received this? If so, what do I do?
I've heard to simply go to the nearest Ford dealership and they perform some little tweak free of charge and that's it. Perhaps they're covering their butts like Toyota?

Do I need to bring in the recall notice?
Seeing as it wasn't actually given to me.
My parents got it (original owners), and they're eight states away.
