For those who don't agree with the "gay lifestyle"?

I'm gay and I cringe every time I hear someone mention the "gay lifestyle" because it almost inevitably means that I'm about to get questioned about how I can be gay when I'm not some lithe effeminent little twink who wears panties and skirts. *shudder*

Not that I have anything against the guys who are like that but that is just SO not me.
 
Oh! So, really it's a euphemism for gay sex? That's absurd. What a bunch of dolts.
Please explain to me what you mean by "lifestyle". Dictionary.com defines it this way:

lifestyle –noun the habits, attitudes, tastes, moral standards, economic level, etc., that together constitute the mode of living of an individual or group.

Now, I've known numerous gays who have wonderful attitudes, impeccable taste, good morals (do unto others...), have great careers, beautiful homes and were just fabulous people in general.

What is this "lifestyle" you refer to?
Turtle - who are you directing your edit to? If it's me, you are highly mistaken, pal. I haven't told anyone how to feel here. I'm talking WORDS and their MEANING.

Part of the biggest problem is the people in this country, are raised to believe being gay is deviant. I'm not gay and I will not pretend to understand the attraction they have for each other. I do realize that they are doing nothing wrong and it is us that need to have our attitudes and beliefs adjusted. I am starting and do feel comfortable with gay people and I support their rights; however, I still have a ways to go myself.

People like that get on my nerves. I really don't care who they have sex with, that's not my business. I just think they're irritating, shallow, pathetic excuses for human beings, and when I have to put up with their behaviour, is does become my business

I suppose it's unfair to call it a 'gay lifestyle', not all gay people are like that. But it has to be said that I never see any straight guys acting that way either.
