My late grandfather Frank got me a diamond cross for my 17th birthday...a couple weeks later he passed away. I lost the cross sometime around my 18th birthday. The last place I remember having it was in a jewelry box that was a jean material that had a cherry patch on the bottom right corner. The whole jewelery box itself has been missing for almost 8 years 
Did someone I know steal it? Did I leave the jewelry box somewhere ( I would take it with me on trips and such). Thank you for your help
