The theistic implications of the Big Bang rest on the everyday (Newtonian) conceptualization of cause and effect as do most of the classic cosmological arguments for God.
The Big Bang was likely initialized at a quantum level where "cause and effect" is basically meaningless to talk about as "uncaused" things happen all the time.
Thus, the Big Bang provides no bulwark for theism because the "timeless, uncaused, etc" (attributes usually attributed to god in this argument) also describe a quantum fluctuation.
