For pedigree charts, if you have a dark square, can it mean...?

The dark square is a male that is heterozygous for a trait (Tt)

OR IS IT

The dark square is a male that is homozygous for a trait (TT or tt)

Basically, can the male be Heterozygous and homozygous and still be completely filled in? (Dark square)
