For or Against Gay Marriage

I agree with you, Jim. It doesn't take much to hurl invectives at the opposition, but I guess that's what people do when they don't have a cogent argument in favor of redefining marriage when civil unions will get them the same benefits.

1) i dont recall saying anything that I believed
2) Someones experiences should definitly be looked at

You are just one rude person. I was just sharing an experience my mom had teaching. Not only that, youe are comparing a pedophiliac to a gay man adopting. What does this prove? I never said all striaight families are perfect and I never said all gay families are bad either. All i stated was one persons direct observations on the situation. How many child of gay couples have you taught? observed? 30 years worth? I believe I will take someones experience over you being rude.

True. It would have to go through the lower courts unless "fast-tracked".

SCOTUS could rule that FFCA isn't applicable because it is a license issue and NOT a statute.

That's the sad state of affairs that exists today. We can't depend on the SCOTUS acting in accordance with the Constitution.

IMO, the creation, by an activist SCOTUS, of a phantom right is more dangerous than the loss of that bogus right. If we had a SCOTUS that foillowed the Constitution and didn't dabble in legislating, I wouldn't be fearful of "Big Brother". There are "real" safeguarRAB to protect us from that possibility, so we don't need SCOTUS to "make up" new ones.

Welfare reform has not helped single mothers, and has not decreased children living in poverty...

But since 2001, even as the welfare rolls declined, the poverty rate has increased, climbing to 12.5 percent last year, or 35.9 million people. Of those, 12.9 million were children. The number of families in deep poverty rose 10 percent, to 3.2 million in 2003. The percentage of single-mother families living in poverty also jumped, to 28 percent from a recent low of 25.4 percent in 2000

America is our land and our fathers built her on Biblical priciples. This is Judeo-Christian land, period. We do not lobby to kill homosexuals,we just lobby to keep this dangerous filthy gay agenda from speading.Gays must stay in their communities and keep their mouths under control. We do not want those natural brute beasts to push their agenda down American people's throats.

I am just and old country boy but I think you get my meaning on my posts.........

As far as the spelling thingy its kind of a personal thing with Hydra who started it when she could not respond with a construtctive response to a post.........

She usually does that so I just gave her some of her own medicine.......

Tis sad, that so much conflict occurs in the name of God. That is why when we speak of gay marriage in the states it is done so in the secular sense, as every other marriage is looked at.

I never said that it wasn't normal. All I said was that you didn't come out that way. You could decide, after birth that you choose to be gay, but it's not something that you come out with.

How can I make any choice without a genetic base?

I simply make the choice.

Choosing McDonald's fries over Sonic's fries is a choice, choosing Pizza Hut over Domino's is a choice, choosing to debate this with you and not read fanfiction is a choice. All of those are simple choices, that don't require genetic bases, as both of my parents, and grandparents, either can't eat fries, or they prefer to not eat them. My family is a family of vegetarians, excluding myself, my sister, and three of my cousins, and I only eat peperoni pizza. No one in my parents generation even knows what fanfiction is. And that can not be put into the genetic base, as it is not something that your body consumes but something that your brain desires.

Am I explaining myself well enough?

I am not trying to decide anything for you..............The law says that only a man and a woman can legally marry.............you have that right the same as I do........You want a special new right..........If you can have a special new right then why can't I?

No, you didn't understand me correctly. I said that there would be less kiRAB if there were "NO" gays marrying bearRAB and having kiRAB to complete the farce.

I can give you several, but try this one. It would create an illegal unfunded mandate by forcing businesses (and us) to include yet another group as beneficiaries for healthcare, SS, Medicare, etc.,
